SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. — The Defense Personal Property Program is continuing its efforts to reach full Global Household Goods Contract (GHC) domestic implementation by adding more installations and increasing shipment volume monthly from now through spring 2025.

U.S. Transportation Command’s (USTRANSCOM) Defense Personal Property Management Office (DPMO) in coordination with the military services and U.S. Coast Guard has selected the following additional installations to begin servicing GHC shipments beginning Oct. 7:

1.    Fort Eisenhower, Georgia
2.    Fort Moore, Georgia
3.    Fort Leavenworth, Kansas
4.    Fort Riley, Kansas
5.    Fort Knox, Kentucky
6.    Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
7.    Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota

Transportation offices servicing these installations will begin by issuing task orders for local government-arranged household goods shipments under GHC.

This month the DOD will also begin ordering a limited number of interstate shipments moving between Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Camp Pendleton, California. These installations previously began servicing local GHC shipments earlier this year.

The next states with installations preparing to go-live by the end of this year include:

1.    Alabama
2.    Arizona
3.    Arkansas
4.    California
5.    Delaware
6.    District of Columbia
7.    Florida
8.    Illinois
9.    Kansas
10.    Maryland
11.    Massachusetts
12.    Michigan
13.    Mississippi
14.    Montana
15.    New Jersey
16.    New Mexico
17.    New York
18.    Ohio
19.    South Carolina
20.    Texas
21.    Utah
22.    Virgina

As of Sept. 30, the DOD sent 244 task orders to HomeSafe Alliance, the primary GHC contractor, for shipment requests submitted for 31 GHC-live installations. This included 141 completed deliveries for local and intrastate shipments, as well as 63 interstate shipment requests sent to HomeSafe. The first GHC interstate shipments were picked-up the week of Sept. 23.

Customers can learn more about how GHC will improve the relocation experience at www.militaryonesource.mil/GHC. This webpage features a list of the GHC-live locations, which will be updated each month as more sites are added.

The DOD is aiming to achieve full GHC domestic implementation by spring 2025. International shipments under GHC are expected to begin no earlier than September 2025. All plans for GHC phase-in are subject to change, and USTRANSCOM will share updates as they become available.
