USTRANSCOM announces 15 additional installations to begin domestic phase-in under GHC

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. — U.S. Transportation Command’s Defense Personal Property Management Office (DPMO), in coordination with the military services and U.S. Coast Guard, has selected the following additional installations to begin servicing Global Household Goods (GHC) shipments during the month of October:

1.    Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama
2.    Eglin Air Force Base, Florida
3.    Hurlburt Field, Florida
4.    MacDill Air Force Base, Florida
5.    Naval Air Station Pensacola (Whiting Field, Corry Station), Florida
6.    Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland
7.    Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
8.    Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico
9.    Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico
10.    Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico
11.    Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, Texas
12.    Joint Base San Antonio (Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base), Texas
13.    Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas
14.    Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas
15.    Hill Air Force Base, Utah

These 15 installations join seven other installations that began with GHC on Oct. 7, bringing the total additions for the month to 22. The transportation offices servicing the installations added in October will begin by issuing task orders for government-arranged household goods shipments in their areas of responsibility under GHC.

As of Oct. 18, the Defense Department had sent 346 task orders to HomeSafe Alliance, the primary GHC contractor, for shipment requests submitted from GHC-live installations. Of the 346 task orders, 213 requests are for local and intrastate shipments, and 133 requests are for interstate shipments. To date, 161 local and intrastate shipments and eight interstate shipments have been delivered.

The DOD is aiming to achieve full GHC domestic implementation by spring 2025. International shipments under GHC are expected to begin no earlier than September 2025. All plans for GHC phase-in are subject to change, and USTRANSCOM will share updates as they become available.

Customers can learn more about phase-in plans and how GHC will improve the relocation experience at www.militaryonesource.mil/GHC. This webpage features a list of the GHC-live locations, which will be updated each month as more sites are added.
