The Navy element assigned to USTRANSCOM will host the ball at the Collinsville Holiday Inn, Collinsville, Ill., on Oct. 13, 2000 to commemorate the service's 225th anniversary. The activities begin at 6:30 p.m.
Rear Adm. Edward J. Fahy, Jr., director of plans and policy (J5) at USTRANSCOM, will serve as host for the ball.
This year's theme is: Don't read American history- Make it! The Navy needs you! Attend the USTRANSCOM Navy Ball 2000.
The guest speaker for this year's ball is Chief of Naval Personnel and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (Manpower & Personnel) Vice Adm. Norbert R. Ryan, Jr.
The ball, which includes a 5 star full course dinner and the world famous USAF STARLIFTER band, is reasonably priced as follows:
· $15 for E-6 and below ($30 per couple)
· $20 for E-7 - O4 ($40 per couple)
· $25 for O5 and about ($50 per couple)
· $30 for non-military ($60 per couple)
