USTRANSCOM's Army element will conduct a Golf Tournament, 5K/10K Fun Run and walk, and an Army Ball to celebrate the service's anniversary.

This year's theme "1901 -- Transforming the Army -- 2001" will focus on the Army's ongoing transformation as compared to a similar initiative 100 years ago following the Spanish-American War under then Secretary of War Elihu Root.

The Army Element will hold a Golf Tournament, June 13 (12:30 p.m. tee time), at the Cardinal Creek golf course at Scott AFB. The 4-person team tournament cost is $45 per person. Prizes include $10,000 Hole-in-One, Vacation Hole-in-One, Golf Clubs, gift certificates for the 1st and 2nd place teams, services coupon books for longest drive and closest to the pin, and a special prize for the lowest scoring team.
