Charleston C-17, aircrew delivers relief supplies to Houston

CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. (USTCNS)--- A C-17 and its aircrew from the 15th Airlift Squadron here delivered emergency workers and supplies to Houston, Texas, on June 10 in response to recent flooding as a result of Tropical Storm Allison.

The aircrew left Charleston Air Force Base early that day and flew to Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, N.M., where they picked up 25 Federal Emergency Management Agency workers and 25,000 pounds of relief supplies.

The crew then transported them to Ellington Filed in Houston where the FEMA workers used the supplies to aid flood victims of the storm. After delivering the workers and supplies, the aircrew returned to Charleston AFB later that evening. (FROM AIR MOBILITY COMMAND PUBLIC AFFAIRS).
