Defense Depot, Hill AFB: Pre-solicitation conferences slated

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (USTCNS) --- A pre-solicitation conference will be held for the transition from a Guaranteed Traffic Agreement to a Tailored Logistics Contract for freight transportation services for the Defense Logistics Agency's Defense Depot at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

This is a first requirement in Draft Request for Proposals DAMT01-01-R-0196.

Offerors who intend to propose for the freight transportation services for Defense Depot, Hill Air Force Base are encouraged to attend this conference.

The conference will be held July 25-26, 2001, at Courtyard Marriott, 1803 Woodland Park Drive, in Layton, Utah. The hotel phone is (801) 217-2300. Registration will begin at 8:30 am.

A second pre-solicitation conference for this draft request for proposals will be held Aug. 1-2, 2001, at the Crowne Plaza Washington-National Airport, 1489 Jefferson Davis Highway, in Arlington, Va. The hotel phone is (703) 310-8978. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

At each Pre-Solicitation Conference, training on the Federal Acquisition Regulation process being used in the Tailored Logistics Contract will be conducted. The Draft Request for Proposals DAMT01-01-R-0196 is available on the MTMC web site at www.mtmc.army.mil.

Attendees are limited to two people per organization. To register for either conference, please identify the attendee(s) and the conference, on company letterhead, to Monica White, MTAQ-T, at facsimile (703) 428-3379, or email: whitem@mtmc.army.mil.

Questions and comments on the Draft Request for Proposals to be considered for response at the pre-solicitation conference should be submitted in writing on company letterhead no later than 2 p.m., July 23, 2001, to: PARC, ATTN: MTAQ-T (Monica White), Military Traffic Management Command, 200 Stovall St., Alexandria, Va. 22332-5000.
