McGuire to hold air show, open house
McGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. (USTCNS) --- McGuire AFB opens its gates at 8 a.m., Sept. 15 and 16 for an open house and air show.
The base's first two-day event in five years, the show boasts a variety of military and civilian performances. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds make their first appearance in the Delaware Valley since Philadelphia's Bicentennial Fourth of July celebration in 1976.
Other highlights include the Army's Green Beret Sport Parachute Team, a three-ship C-141 troop drop, a three-ship C-130 Hercules airdrop, and performances by the Air
Force's F-15 Strike Eagle, C-17 Globemaster III, B-1B Lancer and KC-10A Extender.
Civilian performances include the Klein Tools Extra 300L flown by Mike Mancuso, the AT&T-sponsored F-86 Saber flown by Dale Snodgrass and an appearance by a World War II-era B-25 Mitchell.
