USTRANSCOM Army officers selected for battalion command
SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- Five U.S. Transportation Command Army officers were selected for battalion command it was announced in Washington Jan. 10.
Selected officers include:
Lt. Col. James Gray
Lt. Col. Glenn Grothe
Lt. Col. Scott Carlson
Lt. Col. Susan Davidson
Maj. Bruce Ferri
Ferri was selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel and will be promoted this spring.
Battalion commanders are selected by a centralized board that meets at U.S. Army Personnel Command in Alexandria, Va.
Selected officers will attend a pre-command course and will assume command of units that are based throughout the world.
Battalion command tours are generally for two-year terms.
