SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- The U.S. Transportation Command’s News Service has transformed to keep pace with its increasing number of subscribers. The changes will not affect current subscriber accounts. To those who have been receiving the News Service, the differences will appear subtle.
In addition to these subtle changes in the News Service’s appearance, the big changes will take place in how the service is managed. The cumbersome task of manually managing the subscriber database will now be conducted automatically through a collaborative effort between the Department of the Air Force and USTRANSCOM.
To subscribe to the USTRANSCOM News Service, send a blank e-mail to join-ustcns@mercury.afnews.af.mil. There is no need for a subject or message. Current subscribers do not need to re-subscribe. To unsubscribe, send a blank e-mail to leave-ustcns@mercury.afnews.af.mil.
The USTRANSCOM News Service is sent to more than 4,000 e-mail addresses around the world. People that read the news service are primarily members of the: military, media, academic institutions, and the transportation industry.
USTRANSCOM is a unified command that provides global transportation for the DoD through its component commands: the Air Force’s Air Mobility Command, the Navy’s Military Sealift Command, and the Army’s Military Traffic Management Command.
