USTRANSCOM has a free ‘hotline’ for customers and partners
“This is aimed at facilitating communications with our supported customers and partners in the Defense Transportation System”, said Army Col. Jim Sharpe, chief of USTRANSCOM’s Operations Division.
USTRANSCOM is the Department of Defense’s single manager for common-user lift and provides air, land and sea transportation for all of the military services, the other combatant commands, and numerous federal agencies during peace and war. These customers, as well as federal, commercial, and non-U.S. activities that are partners in the DTS sometimes don’t have any other way to reach our planners and operations, according to Sharpe.
The Joint Mobility Operations Center is manned 24 hours per day, seven days a week. A soldier, sailor, airman, Marine or Coast Guardsman on-duty is always available to receive calls made to 1-866-MCC-CTRL.
