Joint Service Team to represent USTRANSCOM at 2003 Air Force marathon

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- The United States Transportation Command Marathon Team is set to ‘knock em dead’ at the 2003 United States Air Force Marathon, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Sept. 20, according to team members.

A Joint USTRANSCOM team comprised of members of each service, will answer a personal challenge from Lt. Gen. Richard Reynolds, Commander, 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson, to Gen. John Handy, commander, USTRANSCOM.

To help cut the individual expenses for the team members, the Navy’s Chief's Mess; the Air Force's Senior Enlisted Group; the Army Element Booster Club; and the Marine Corps Semper Fi Society at USTRANSCOM have provided generous sponsorship for the team.

Pictured above, in the front row (left to right) is the team mentor, Maj. Gen. Butch Pair, Chief of Staff, and team members; Lt. Col. Brent Spahn, USMC; and Lt. Col. Dave Monismith, USAF.
