SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. – U.S. Transportation Command’s Intelligence Directorate participated in the national "Take Your Child to Work Day" April 26.
"Our directorate is not only mission oriented but also family oriented,” said Andrea Sanderson. “And we wanted to participate in our own way in the national event.
“Our mission is unique as a Joint Information Operations Center Transportation and as USTRANSCOM-J2,” Sanderson continued. “It is a special occasion to have the daughters and sons of our employees enjoy learning what their parent does and how it connects with our global military mission.
During the event children received a tour of select USTRANSCOM areas and displays before visiting parent’s work stations.
The day ended with a visit from USTRANSCOM Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Kathleen M. Gainey.
