Lt. Gen. Gainey to be honored as Missouri Athletic Club Woman of Distinction
Olympic great Jackie Joyner-Kersee will be the keynote speaker at the Missouri Athletic Club’s 2nd Women of Distinction Luncheon on Friday, April 19.
ST. LOUIS – Olympic great Jackie Joyner-Kersee will be the keynote speaker at the Missouri Athletic Club’s 2nd Women of Distinction Luncheon on Friday, April 19. This year the MAC is celebrating 25 years of female members at the Club. Joyner-Kersee was one of the first female members to join the MAC in 1988 when women were first allowed into the membership ranks.
The MAC Luncheon honors women who through their leadership, character and professional achievement have enriched the St. Louis community and served as positive role models. This year’s honorees are: Amy Berg (S.M. Wilson, Berg), Cindy Erickson (American Red Cross), Lieutenant General Kathleen M. Gainey (U.S. Army), Debra Hollingsworth (AT&T), Meredith Knopp (The Mission Continues) and Kimberly Ritter (Nix Conference & Meeting Management).
The Women of Distinction Luncheon will be held at the Missouri Athletic Club’s Downtown Clubhouse (405 Washington Ave.) on Friday, April 19. The event begins with a reception at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $50 (includes parking).
