SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- U.S. Army Gen. Stephen Lyons, commander, U.S. Transportation Command, met with former USTRANSCOM commanders retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Walter Kross, retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Norton Schwartz and retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Duncan McNabb June 12 during their visit to the command. The former commanders are known as senior statesmen and serve as advisers to the current commander. While here, the group received briefings on current initiatives and visited the Global Operations Center.
