Commander, US Transportation Command meets with Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command

U.S. Transportation Command spokesperson Navy Capt. John Fage provided the following readout:

Air Force Gen. Randall Reed, commander, U.S. Transportation Command, met with Air Force Gen. Gregory Guillot, commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, Feb. 6.

The military leaders discussed the current joint mission to secure the southern border, cooperation for homeland defense, global patient movement operations, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA). When requested, DSCA supports domestic emergency response efforts with airlift, search and rescue, civil affairs, and other capabilities to save lives, prevent human suffering, and mitigate damage. 

Functional directors from both commands participated in a roundtable where discussion centered on the cyber security of logistics nodes.
