Air Force Gen. Randall Reed, commander, U.S. Transportation Command, met with Air Force Gen. Anthony Cotton, commander, U.S. Strategic Command, at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, Feb. 5.
The military leaders discussed how the close relationship between the two combatant commands is critical to the defense of the homeland, the posture of strategic forces and personnel in the United States and abroad to create and deliver global strike capability, and command and control during a coordinated threat response.
Following the meeting, senior leaders from both commands participated in a warfighter discussion on cross-domain challenges, the potential for contested logistics in a near-peer conflict, and opportunities to leverage partnerships and increase collaboration.
