Africa Command

Africa Command

U.S. Africa Command is the U.S.Department of Defense sixth regional command. U.S. Africa Command is made up of staff from across the U.S. Defense Department and other U.S. government agencies, with a high emphasis on interagency cooperation and cultural awareness. U.S. Africa Command is located on Kelley Barracks in Stuttgart-Moehringen, Germany, a few miles from Stuttgart International Airport.

Central Command

With national and international partners, U.S. Central Command promotes cooperation among nations, responds to crises, and deters or defeats state and nonstate aggression, and supports development and, when necessary, reconstruction in order to establish the conditions for regional security, stability, and prosperity.

European Command

European Command

The mission of the U.S. European Command is to conduct military operations, international military partnering, and interagency partnering to enhance transatlantic security and defend the United States forward. We do this by establishing an agile security organization able to conduct full spectrum activities as part of whole of government solutions to secure enduring stability in Europe and Eurasia.

Indo-Pacific Command

Indo-Pacific Command

U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USPACOM), together with other U.S. Government agencies, protects and defends the United States, its territories, Allies, and interests; alongside Allies and partners, promotes regional security and deters aggression; and, if deterrence fails, is prepared to respond to the full spectrum of military contingencies to restore Asia-Pacific stability and security.

Southern Command

Southern Command

SOUTHCOM is a joint command comprised of more than 1,200 military and civilian personnel representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and several other federal agencies. The services provide SOUTHCOM with component commands which, along with our Joint Special Operations component, two Joint Task Forces, one Joint Interagency Task Force, and Security Assistance Offices, perform SOUTHCOM missions and security cooperation activities.

U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) was established Oct. 1, 2002 to provide command and control of Department of Defense (DOD) homeland defense efforts and to coordinate defense support of civil authorities. USNORTHCOM defends America's homeland — protecting our people, national power, and freedom of action.

Special Operations Command

Special Operations Command

President George W. Bush designated USSOCOM as the lead for planning, synchronizing, and, as directed, conducting operations against terrorist networks. To discharge these responsibilities, USSOCOM’s mission priorities are: deter, disrupt and defeat terrorist threats; develop and support our people and families; and sustain and modernize the force.

Strategic Command

Headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., USSTRATCOM is a global integrator charged with the missions of full-spectrum global strike, space operations, computer network operations, Department of Defense information operations, strategic warning, integrated missile defense, global C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), combating weapons of mass destruction, and specialized expertise to the joint warfighter.

USCYBERCOM

U.S. Cyber Command

USCYBERCOM plans, coordinates, integrates, synchronizes and conducts activities to: direct the operations and defense of specified Department of Defense information networks and; prepare to, and when directed, conduct full spectrum military cyberspace operations in order to enable actions in all domains, ensure US/Allied freedom of action in cyberspace and deny the same to our adversaries.
