SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- The Transportation Research Board has sent a call for papers for presentation at the Jan. 7-11, 2001, 80th Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
TRB announced a need for papers on 6 topics:
· "Inland Water Transportation System: Strategies for Development of the Marine Transportation System in the New Millennium." For more information contact Larry Daggett at ldaggett@magnolia.net.
· "Intermodal Freight Transportation in the 21st Century." For more information contact Steve Kale at steven.r.kale@odot.or.state.us.
· "Transportation Strategies for the Coming Millennium." For more information contact Arlene Dietz at arlene.dietz@usace.army.mil.
· "The Implications of E-Commerce for Freight Movements." For more information contact Dr. Frank Southworth at sou@ornl.gov or Marcus Wigan at mwigan@napier.ac.uk.
· "Issues Affecting the Transport of Agricultural Commodities." For more information contact William Hall at whall@seaport.com.
· "GIS-Transportation Tools and International Trade Analysis." For more information contact Phil Shinbein at phs@co.clark.nv.us or Dr. John McCray at jmccray@mccrayresearch.com.
Papers are due to TRB no later than Aug. 1, 2000.
Each topic listed has sub-topics that will aid authors in constructing articles. Contacting the point(s) of contact in advance of article preparation is encouraged.
Professional papers presented for publication must be approved by the U.S. Transportation Command public affairs office and the originating directorate.
