Customs and MILSTAMP now in Defense Transportation Regulation
The Military Standard Transportation and Movement Procedures, known as MILSTAMP Regulation (DOD 4500.32R, Vols I and II) was incorporated into Part II (Cargo Movement) of the DTR (4500.9R). Military shippers can now find all the information needed to ship military materiel in one location and in logical order.
The former MILSTAMP provisions have been realigned with the appropriate subject matter within DTR Part II, including appendices.
Transportation Account Codes, formerly published in MILSTAMP, Vol II, can be found in Appendix CC-11.
In addition to incorporating MILSTAMP, DTR, Part II, was also reorganized and streamlined, making it more user friendly.
Both the CD-ROM and web versions contain hyperlinks in the Table of Contents to all of the chapters and appendices.
Military Customs Inspection Regulation (DOD 5030.49-R) is no longer effective and has been replaced by DOD Customs and Border Clearance Policies and Procedures (DOD 4500.9-R (DTR Part V)). DTR, Part V, establishes DOD policy, prescribes procedures, defines responsibilities and identifies customs, agricultural and other border clearance requirements for entry and exit of selected countries of the world in support of US forces.
Future plans call for publishing instructions for custom clearances to countries not currently contained in this latest revision, as they become available.
