USTRANSCOM transportation component commanders meet at Scott
SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- U.S. Transportation Command leaders met here March 15 for a quarterly discussion of defense transportation system topics.
Air Force Gen. Charles T. "Tony" Robertson, commander in chief of USTRANSCOM and commander of Air Mobility Command, led the more than 60 senior officers and civilians from the transportation component commands and USTRANSCOM staff through a range of topics.
In addition to AMC, the Army's Military Traffic Management Command, headquartered in Alexandria, Va., and the Navy's Military Sealift Command, headquartered in Washington. AMC is based at Scott AFB.
Among the command-wide initiatives and subjects, leaders made presentations covering key defense transportation issues:
· Strategic Planning
· Strategic Distribution Management Initiatives
· Financial Management
· Transportation Feasibility and Mobility
· Updates from each of the transportation component commands
· Exercises
Also attending were Army Lt. Gen. Daniel G. Brown, deputy commander in chief, USTRANSCOM, and Air Force Lt. Gen. Ronald C. Marcotte, vice commander of AMC.
Representing MTMC was its commander, Maj. Gen. Kenneth L. Privratsky, while MSC's commander Vice Adm. Gordon Holder represented his organization.
