Former USTRANSCOM J3/4 assumes command of 15th Air Force
Becker's last posting was as the director of Operations and Logistics J3/4, USTRANSCOM.
"General Hogle leaves behind big shoes to fill," Robertson said. "They need to be filled by someone who has extensive background, vision and wisdom. Someone who really understands Air Mobility Command's Global Reach. That person is General Becker."
Becker entered the Air Force in 1970 through the ROTC program. Becker's first assignment was undergraduate pilot training at Reese AFB, Texas. Becker has served at command level assignments in aircraft, aeromedical airlift and multiple wing level command positions.
Additionally, Becker was assigned as the executive officer to the commander in chief of USTRANSCOM and commander of AMC at Scott. In 1998 Becker was assigned to Scott as Inspector General at AMC then in 1999 Becker assumed command of the Tanker Airlift Control Center.
"General Hogle has taken the lead and kept this command on target," Robertson said. "We thank him for his dedication and leadership. He will not be forgotten."
Hogle, the 15th Air Force commander since 1999, began his military career when he was commissioned through Officer Training School in 1967. Hogle served in command positions to include squadron, Group, Wing, Numbered Air Force, MAJCOM and the Air Staff. Hogle's effective date of retirement was July 3, 2001.
