USTRANSCOM flag selectee to take post in Hawaii

WASHINGTON (USTCNS) --- The Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced Nov. 14 that Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) (selectee) Donna L. Crisp is being assigned as deputy chief of staff for shore base management, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Crisp is currently serving as executive assistant, deputy commander in chief, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

She was commissioned an Ensign in October 1974 at Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island. Her 27-year career has included a wide variety of operational and staff positions to include command of Personnel Support Activity, Norfolk Va.; command of Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar; and Deputy N1 on the staff of Commander in Chief, U. S. Pacific Fleet.

Crisp holds a B.A. from California State University at Long Beach. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Public Communications Graduate School, and the Department of Justice's Senior Leadership School.

Her awards include the Legion of Merit with two gold stars; Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars; Navy Commendation Medal; and Navy Achievement Medal.
