SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- Senior Airman Chad Bryant was selected Junior Service member of the Quarter, October - December 2001, for Scott AFB. Bryant had competition from headquarters Air Mobility Command, Air Force Communications Agency, and the 375th Airlift Wing.

Winners in each category were announced at the Scott Quarterly Awards Breakfast held recently.

In his job, the communications and computer systems operator was handpicked from eight airmen and assumed demanding duties as a network administrator. Bryant ensured the processing of 350,000 narrative messages with a 99 percent accuracy rate, and operated and maintained a $20 million intelligence communications network, enabling USTRANSCOM and it component commands to plan, schedule and direct worldwide intelligence operations for the entire Department of Defense.

He also discovered and corrected 225 messages containing invalid addressee information, and took charge of training seven newly assigned work center personnel so that all three shifts are able to have a balanced schedule of qualified operators.

Bryant has donated time; skill and money in support of various Air Force and local community sponsored charities, and is an active member of the Scott AFB Rising Six.
