USTRANSCOM deputy commander in chief nominee named
WASHINGTON (USTCNS) --- Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced in Washington today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Gary H. Hughey for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as the deputy commander in chief, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
Hughey is currently serving as the deputy commander and chief of staff, U.S. Forces Japan, Yokota, Japan.
