SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- Air Mobility Command officials have made the following announcements concerning command senior officers:

Promotion and assignment:

Maj. Gen. Arthur J. Lichte, director of plans and programs, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB, appointment to the grade of lieutenant general effective Dec. 5, with an assignment as vice commander, U.S. Air Forces in Europe.

Promotion to brigadier general:

Col. Richard E. Perraut Jr., vice commander, 15th Air Force, Travis AFB, Calif.

Col. Paul J. Selva, vice commander, Tanker Airlift Control Center, Scott AFB.

Col. Thomas E. Stickford, inspector general, Headquarters AMC and Headquarters U.S. Transportation Command, Scott AFB.

Retirements:

Brig. Gen. James W. Swanson, staff judge advocate, Headquarters AMC, and chief counsel, Headquarters USTRANSCOM, Scott AFB, will retire effective April 1.

Col. Edward O. Erkes, chief of dental services, 43rd Medical Operations Squadron, Pope AFB N.C., will retire effective Jan 1.

Col. Joan R. Griffith, chief of medical staff, 436th Medical Group, Dover AFB Del., will retire effective Jan. 1.

Col. Herfried S. Hellwege, deputy director, Directorate of Operations, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB, will retire effective Jan. 1.

Col. Steve A. Oliver, chief of medical staff, 60th Medical Group, Travis AFB Calif., will retire effective Jan. 1.

Assignments:

Maj. Gen. Leonard D. Fox, director, civil engineering, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB, will become the civil engineer, deputy chief of staff, installations and logistics, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.

Col. Delwyn R. Eulberg, special assistant to the commander, Air Warfare Center, Nellis AFB, Nev., will become, director, civil engineering, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB. Eulberg has been selected for promotion to brigadier general.

Col. John E. Ball, deputy commander, 60th Operations Group, Travis AFB, will become commander, 436th Operations Group, Dover AFB, effective in January.

Col. Michael K. Baker, chief, Scholarships Branch, HQ Air Force Officer Accession and Training Schools, Maxwell AFB, Ala., will become deputy director, Directorate Of Personnel, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB, effective in January.
