Army selects six U.S. Transportation Command officers to command battalions
Early this morning, The Army’s Personnel Command released the names of the 398 officers selected.
The USTRANSCOM officers and the category they were selected to command are:
· Lt. Col. Allen Kiefer
Multifunctional Support Tactical Battalion
· Maj. Michael Balser
Transportation terminals Training & Strategic Support Battalion
· Maj. Mark Hicks
Transportation & Strategic Support Battalion
· Maj. Martin Ledington
Multifunctional Support tactical Battalion
· Maj. Thomas Mintzer
Multifunctional Support Training & Strategic Support Battalion
· Maj. Franklin Wenzel
Multifunctional Support Tactical Battalion
The Army considered 2591 officers for fiscal year 2004 battalion command duty.
