Brig. Gen. Charles B. Green, the command surgeon for Headquarters AMC and U.S. Transportation Command here will assume responsibilities as commander, 59th Medical Wing (Wilford Hall Medical Center), and Lead Agent, Department of Defense Health Services Region 6, Lackland AFB, Texas.
Brig. Gen. Thomas J. Loftus, command surgeon for Headquarters U.S. Air Forces Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, will assume responsibilities as the command surgeon for Headquarters AMC and USTTRANSCOM.
Col. Kip L. Self, special assistant to the 21st Air Force commander for Global Mobility Task Force Planning, McGuire AFB, N.J., will become assistant to the director of operations, Directorate of Operations, Headquarters AMC. Colonel Self has been selected for promotion to brigadier general.
Col. James L. Lemons, deputy director of logistics, Directorate of Logistics, Headquarters AMC, will retire June 1. Col. Jeffrey W. Ackerson, Transportation Division chief, Directorate of Logistics, Headquarters AMC, will replace Lemons, and Col. Larry F. Stephens, Aerial Port Operations Division chief, Directorate of Logistics, Headquarters AMC, will replace Ackerson.
Col. Stephen P. Nelson, Tanker Airlift Control Center director of operations, Headquarters AMC, will retire June 1.
Col. Donald G. Stone, TACC Global Readiness director, will retire June 1.
Col. Daniel B. Schellinger, TACC senior director of operations, will retire May 1.
Col. Mark W. Fry, commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 90, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo., will become the TACC director of operations in June.
Col. Randy P. Vieira, chief, Commander's Action Group, Headquarters AMC, will become assistant director of operations, Directorate of Operations, Headquarters AMC, in March.
