C-17s support Army’s Stryker certification

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. (USTCNS) --- A C-17 Globemaster III accepts a Stryker armored combat vehicle during a field certification exercise May 2 to 4 at Fort Sill, Okla. The 97th Operations Group, Altus Air Force Base, Okla., supplied five C-17s and 11 aircrews for 45 missions from Fort Sill to Alexandria, La. The aircraft assigned to Air Education and Training Command supported the mission controlled by U.S. Transportation Command through Air Mobility Command.
