AMC senior officer nomination and assignments

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (USTCNS) --- Air Mobility Command officials have announced the following senior officer promotion nomination and assignments:

Nominations:
Maj. Gen. William Welser III, special assistant to the Air Mobility Command Commander, Scott AFB, has received a presidential nomination for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as commander, 18th Air Force, Headquarters AMC, Scott AFB.

Assignments:
Maj. Gen. James A. Hawkins, vice director, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., will become vice commander, 18th AF, Headquarters AMC.
