Gen. Duncan J. McNabb, commander United States Transportation Command, passed the organization's flag to Command Sgt. Maj. Tomas R. Hawkins at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., Dec. 10, making him the new senior enlisted leader.

Hawkins took over the duties after Chief Master Sgt. Kenneth McQuiston's retirement last month. McQuiston was the command's first SEL.

Hawkins previously served as the senior enlisted leader of the Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, also at Scott Air Force Base.
