Linda and I applaud Governor Quinn's support of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children Act and the positive impact it will have at Scott Air Force Base and southwest Illinois area schools.
Governor Quinn's signature on this important legislation demonstrates his unequivocal support for our military families since it eases the process of transferring required courses and credits, pre-requisites, and graduation requirements.
This compact illustrates a very important commitment by community leaders and educators around Scott Air Force Base that the best way to take care of military residents here is by taking care of their families' needs.
