Maj. Gen. Gregory E. Couch, U.S. Transportation Command chief of staff, cut the cake Oct. 6, celebrating the successful completion of the USTRANSCOM Base Realignment and Closure Activities (BRAC) program.
According to Steve Coyle, BRAC Program manager, the celebration gave thanks to all those critical in every stage of the five-year effort, which included the building of a new USTRANSCOM facility which houses the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command.
“The Fused Operations Center, the joint Distribution Process analysis Center and the Joint Intelligence Operations Center were also constructed under the massive project,” Coyle said.
“While BRAC is complete, there is still more work to be done on Transformation,” Coyle added.
“Look for future updates on continual improvements to make USTRANSCOM an even better place to serve.”
