Booster Club silent auction raises money for inclusive activities

Excited workers at USTRANSCOM and the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command checked out surplus item gifted to the command over time.

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. – USTRANSCOM and SDDC workers converged on the Transporter Booster Club Silent Auction, Feb. 3, in search of bargains.  Items from around the world ranging from an autographed NFL football to pictures and other memorabilia presented to past USTRANSCOM commanders were available during the one-day event.

According to club president, Staff Sgt. Christian Bennett, approximately $955 was raised during the auction.  “The auction went way better than expected,” Bennett said.  “It was a great turnout for as little advertisement that we did.

”Money raised during the auction will be used for the USTRANSCOM picnic and holiday party.
