J3 boosters hold pancake sale
SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. – Batter flew on, and off, the dual griddles May 17 in the Building 1900 West break room during the Operations and Plans (J3) Pancake breakfast.
“Pancakes for sale,” hawked Air Force Capt. William Glenn, as if encouragement was needed to push the saucer-sized, butter and syrup-drenched breakfast treats to U.S. Transportation Command as well as Surface Deployment and Distribution Command workers.
“We are the J3 Holiday Party Committee, said Sara Matis-Dettman, “and we were fundraising this morning in hopes of raising money to help subsidize tickets for the J3 Holiday party.”
According to Matis-Dettman, the early morning sale netted more than $300 for the Dec. 7 party. But that’s not the only breakfast item J3 will provide this year.
“We are scheduled to have our next fundraiser, breakfast burritos, on Thursday, June 14,” Matis-Dettman said.
