SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. – Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, came to U.S. Transportation Command June 18-19. During his two-day visit, he was brought-up-to date on the command’s activities by Gen. William M. Fraser III, commander, USTRANSCOM and members of his staff.
Dempsey was also briefed on the U.S. Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution current mission by Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Richardson, command general, SDDC.
